Short biography Courte biographie
I was born in the small town of Rivière-du-Loup, on the St-Lawrence river, in Québec province (Canada). I got interested in physics while I was in high school. After a 6 month trip to Europe, I moved to Montréal to pursue my undergraduate studies in physics and mathematics. The combined program was hard but very interesting, and turned out being a very good preparation to graduate work. I stayed in Université de Montréal for my master thesis project, under the supervision of Laurent J. Lewis. I went to Cornell University for my doctoral studies, where I started working on phase retrieval algorithms with Veit Elser. I started working in August 2007 at the Swiss Light Source, at the Paul Scherrer Institut.
