Some software

Basic Matlab macros

Basic Matlab macros for reading CBF, EDF and other image formats and for example for fast radial integration can be found in the
software section of the cSAXS home-page.

Spec macros

For the instrument control program spec (external link) several macro packages are available upon request, including for example integration of hardware such as

  • PILATUS pixel detector via TCP/IP socket connection to camserver (see below)
  • EIGER pixel detector single chip test system via TCP/IP socket connection to cbd_server
  • APD control electronics ACE by ESRF and FMB Oxford connected via RS232
  • Fingerlakes Instrumentation (FLI) CCD connected via USB, including TCP/IP socket server based on the SDK provided by the company
  • Struck SIS 3820 multi channel scaler VME module via EPICS
  • AmpTek PX4 digital pulse processor connected via RS232, in connection with a XR-100CR Si detector
  • EHD 12V5H surveillance camera connected via RS232
  • Cetoni neMESYS syringe pumps connected via RS232, including TCP/IP socket server based on the SDK provided by the company
  • Hamilton syringe pump PSD4 connected via RS232
  • Stanford Research Systems digital delay generator DG645 connected via Ethernet
  • PI Hexapod connected via GPIB, RS232 or Ethernet
  • Lambda Genesys unipolar power supply connected via RS232
A basic description of most macro packages can be found in the cSAXS notes (link to cSAXS manuals).

Spec macros for the PILATUS detector

The PILATUS detector has been developed by the SLS detector group and is mean while successfully commercialized via DECTRIS (external link). The PILATUS macros for spec can meanwhile be obtained form DECTRIS and have therefore been removed from this page. Online viewing is, e.g., possible via the by DECTRIS supplied viewer or a simple exchange file in which spec writes the current image name and for example the Matlab macro image_spec.m that is part of the set of basic Matlab macros.
